zonian: Panameño Clandestino
The last Zonians were born in 1979. Their fellow Panamanians have little to no knowledge of the Canal Zone and the way of life of its inhabitants. This documentary intends to tell this story, which is a vital part of Panamanian history, by following the events of the Canal and the 4 generations of one family who witnessed the birth of this nation, the construction of the Canal, all the way through to the present day, the legacy of the original construction and the expansion of the Canal.
